Unlocking RAN visibility with network OSS data

The RAN is the frontline of mobile connectivity. Delivering an optimised experience to subscribers depends on performance in the RAN. If there’s a problem, then it may have an immediate and noticeable impact on users. That’s why real-time end-to-end monitoring of the RAN is becoming increasingly important, as ever-more demanding users eagerly consume services with ever-more demanding performance requirements.

Monitoring in the RAN has previously been a costly and time-consuming business, often with large delays between events happening and being visible in the monitoring systems. For an end-to-end view, several different systems have had to be used. But, by combining Network OSS data with probe data, CSPs can cost-effectively and efficiently collect real-time network data and insights into RAN performance.
