Building the next generation network

5G is coming. Already, CSPs are making early-stage investments and trials, with commercial service launches expected in 2019. The initial rollout of 5G will be in Non-standalone (NSA) mode, alongside existing 4G network assets. This will bring fibre-like connectivity to mobile consumers, as well as boost Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) deployments. However, CSPs also need to plan and prepare for the next step – evolution to fully standalone 5G networks, with a new service-oriented architecture and fully virtualised network assets.

Polystar’s solution portfolio already supports the enhancements and extensions required for 5G NSA deployments, which means that CSPs can rollout 5G with confidence alongside their other investments. They provide rich insights to ensure the success of 5G Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) and FWA offers.
