The Polystar Global Compact Policy reflects the company´s commitment to comply with the principles established by the UN regarding corporate sustainability, setting the stage for long-term success.
The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact are derived from: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
UN Global Compact was launched in 2000 by the previous UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan. The initiative was founded to enable businesses to be a part of the solution for a more sustainable and inclusive global economy by promoting globally responsible business practices. More than 7000 companies from over 120 countries participate.
The UN Global Compact is a purely voluntary initiative and it has been designed to stimulate change and to promote corporate sustainability and encourage innovative solutions and partnerships.
