SOLVER for SIP
Solver SIP simulates a high number of user agents generating basic call, registrations, and SIP messages towards the Core Network. Apart from signalling load simulation, Solver SIP can also generate User Data traffic and perform PESQ measurements.
Solver SIP support the RFC3261 specification along with several extensions such as RFC3262 (Reliable responses) and 3265 (SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY).
SIP
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), see RFC 3261, is a signalling protocol for creating, modifying, and terminating sessions between several participants. The sessions can be anything from simple voice calls to multimedia calls and conferences. Other application examples are instant messaging, presence, and online gaming.
SIP has been chosen as a 3GPP signalling protocol and is the base protocol used in IMS.
