GPRS Gb Interface

Solver emulates the Radio Access Network and connects to the GPRS nodes using the Gb protocol over E1/T1 Frame relay. In this way, you will be able to stress the SGSN and GGSN with UDP packages that can be looped around back to Solver for maximal load on the system under test.

The Solver interface boards are a 4 port E1/T1 card with Frame Relay capability. Each board supports up to 128 channels of Frame Relay or 124 MTP2 channels. Multiple boards can be connected to increase scalability and link density of the system. This provides a completely scaleable GSM/GPRS interface solution and enables large numbers of BSSs to be simulated to a single MSC/SGSN.

Main features

  • Up to 124 MTP-2 links per card.
  • 4 software selectable trunks of full E1 or T1, compliant to G.703/G.704.
  • Up to 128 channels of Frame Relay.
  • 200 MHz RISC telecommunications processor.
  • Channelized HDLC processor, providing time division multiplexing, buffer requeuing and management, further reducing host CPU overhead and maximizing capacity.
  • 32- bit PMC board (64 bit compatible).
