Handover is performed during a call when a mobile phone is changing position between different cells in a network.  The handover is done in order to achieve the best signal strength and signal quality possible at any given time or place. There are several reasons for conducting a handover; however the most important part is to maintain the speech path connection.

With Solver, single or multiple handover simulation is available both for the Iu-CS and A-interfaces. Solvers capability to simulate close to real-life conditions with real voice payload, and being able to verify that the speech connection path is not broken after the handover is performed, makes it an ideal test tool for handover testing.
