qGate is designed to help carriers maximise the availability of their network and services by continuously monitoring a number of key performance indicators. The dynamics of qGate enable users to configure thresholds looking at network and service related problems down to a cell level as well as associate this to specific customers. The prime source of information is taken form real-time non intrusive probes connected to signalling links in the GSM, GPRS and the UMTS network.

Understanding in seconds, not hours or days
qGate alarms are configured quickly and easily by using a drop down box. Alarms can be configured for specific interfaces (e.g. A-Interface) or correlated sessions (e.g. INAP and ISUP), specific geographical areas (region, network or cell) and for specific parameters or cause values.  Alarms can be viewed in real-time allowing an operator to understand the realties of the subscriber experience. Alternatively, alarms can be viewed historically providing insights for planning and for sales and marketing.

The principal feature of qGate management is the near real-time ability to provide alerts for network or service-quality degradation and the resulting ability to turn that network information into business intelligence.

Drilling down to network specifics could not be easier. Data can be presented in time intervals from quarter hourly through to monthly. With over 50 cause values supported users can get exactly the information they need from their network in an instant.
