GEMINI chassis with 2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet interface + a 4 port ATM daughter board


With the release of the new Polystar hardware, GEMINI, SOLVER will provide market leading performance for the load test applications. The first release of GEMINI will be aimed towards load testing of 3G core-networks based on ATM STM-1 (AAL2 & AAL5) for Iu-CS, soon followed by Iu-PS and 10/100/1000 Ethernet (SIGTRAN).

SOLVER is a load and stress tester for 3G and GSM core networks, known for its user friendly GUI and good performance which makes it very efficient in a test environment. SOLVER generates calls with real pay-load by user predefined samples.
With the new Polystar developed GEMINI platform, SOLVER is now an even more unrivalled tool to use for load and stress testing on 3G core-networks.

GEMINI benefits
GEMINI is designed to provide hardware support for simultaneous STM-1 and Ethernet interfaces. The system consists of a main processing board plus additional add-on interface boards. With the dual state-of-the-art integrated communication processors, GEMINI provides a powerful platform for running SOLVER test applications with features like SMS and Negative Testing. On-board memory capacity gives powerful resources for voice quality testing, such as PESQ.
GEMINI handles all real-time critical processing for lower layer protocols.

The hardware consists of two available 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces plus a four port ATM daughter board which provides a cost and space efficient, multi-port test environment.
